Santa Fe Brewing Company embraces a farm-to-table type approach to brewing whenever possible. In 2013, we bought an old tree farm in Rinconada, NM and began using it to grow estate hops—specifically varieties of Neo-Mexicanus. These are wild hops native to New Mexico and the only wild hops native to the United States that are suitable for brewing.
These rare hops occasionally make their way into smaller batch beers available at the brewery. So, if you needed ANOTHER reason to come visit us, that’s a pretty good one (especially if you’re a hop nerd).
