Everything that goes into our beers comes from this big blue and green ball we call Earth, so we do everything we can to keep our environmental footprint small.
Our beers are brewed with 100% natural well water, which means no water is wasted during the process of reverse osmosis. Any waste water we do have is treated with our state-of-the-art system, allowing us to reuse 70-80% of that water for on-site irrigation.
In 2011, we installed an 18 kilowatt solar panel system on the roof of the brewery. This system offsets the brewery’s electric bill by 15%.
Our tasting room in Albuquerque was built completely out of recycled shipping containers. And to encourage recycling, customers are given a 10 cent credit for returning our plastic 6-pack carriers to the brewery or one of our tasting rooms.
