Get the Funk Out! Social Club is a no cover show presented by Santa Fe Brewing Co for the month of March. This month we’re bringing you a FUNKY SPRING BRING theme with three awesome bands from Denver, CO. The show is 21+.
Dream Feed is a four-piece indie rock band from Denver, Colorado. The band formed shortly after the lead vocalist, Miguel Dakota, was a finalist on Season 9 of America’s Got Talent in 2014. Miguel’s soulful and passionate voice caught the attention of many, including Simon Cowell, who tweeted,“Miguel Dakota. A future star…” after his first performance.
While focusing on perfecting their sound in Denver and playing shows in and around Colorado, the band has been drawing more and more attention in addition to collecting multiple awards. They were named one of the top local bands in 2019 by 303 Magazine, Grand Prize winners of both the 93.3 KTCL Demo Derby and Road to Velorama, which landed them a spot at the Velorama Festival along with Wilco, Death Cab for Cutie, Tennis and others.
Float Like a Buffalo is a Denver-based 7-piece, 9-instrument, high-energy Funk-Rock band. We love to get our crowds dancing with songs inspired by our home in Colorado, being on the road, and finding ourselves.
The band has become a local funk sensation over the past five years, playing sold out and near-sold-out shows at major Colorado venues like Red Rocks, The Bluebird Theater, Gothic Theatre, Levitt Pavilion, and Marquis Theater – and taking the crown for Best Funk Band in Denver in Westword’s 2019 Music Awards.
Oli McCracken was born in the UK, raised in Australia, Chicago, and Houston – now based out of Denver, Colorado, is a singer/songwriter with a truly unique perspective and a wide range of influences. With the release of his debut EP“From Scratch,” Oli quickly captured the attention of Denver’s thriving music scene and earned a permanent place on the playlists of fans worldwide. His lyrics are meaningful, full of pictures and stories that capture the listener in a very special way.
