Head Chef Job Description

 Santa Fe Brewing Company is nearing completion of their new taproom, beer garden and various upgrades to their operations at their main brewing facility in Santa Fe.  Doors are expected to open mid-Summer!  The new operations at 35 Fire Place will include a full-service kitchen that will service the taproom and various group rental spaces throughout the property.

Santa Fe Brewing Company also expects to add food operations to future business operations as well and hopes to recruit someone to fill this role who can evolve into managing the food programs at all of their properties.

The Head Chef will:

– Create an inspired, contemporary, and executable menu that brings New Mexico’s Original Craft Brewery to life 

– Create the food preparation processes and train all staff to execute them with the same vision and attention to detail

– Hire, schedule and manage all kitchen staff within mutually agreed upon budget parameters

– Work with broader management team to create the P&L for the kitchen

– Consult on the layout and equipment needs of the new kitchen

– Manage all food orders within mutually agreed upon budget parameters 

– Ensure compliance with all state, city and county regulations


– Proven experience as Chef with track record of staffing and optimizing kitchen operations

– Ability to communicate and lead within a kitchen environment

– Proficiency in order planning and managing budgets

– Creativity, vision and thought-leadership

– Experience managing a catering program
