Marketing Coordinator Job Description & Essential Duties and Responsibilities 
 
We are looking for a marketing coordinator to support our marketing department. This position is responsible for coordinating community engagement via social media, customer support emails, and Google business listings, and assist in creating content, promoting events, and managing certain aspects of the company’s online presence. The ideal candidate will be courteous, punctual, approachable, and capable of communicating effectively in potentially stressful situations, as well as self-motivated, creative, detail oriented, and organized.

 

The Marketing Coordinator’s primary functions are:
  1. Representing the marketing department in taprooms; creating alignment with our brand marketing plan and execution in the taprooms.
  2. Event Marketing coordination; creating all event marketing promotional materials. 
  3. Online community management; managing all social media comments, messages, customer service emails, and online business listings, and managing the taproom social media feeds.
  4. Assist the Senior Marketing Manager with content development and creation.\

1. Representing the marketing department in taprooms; creating alignment with our brand marketing plan and execution in the taprooms
 
 Expectations:
  • Ensure all promotional materials in taprooms are aligned with marketing priorities at all times.
  • Ensuring or physically taking down old materials after events happen or brands leave the market and ensuring new materials are installed. 
  • Create display pieces and promotional materials as agreed upon with Senior Marketing Manager; both deliverables and timelines.
Ultimately it is your responsibility to ensure our taprooms reflect the priorities and expectations of the brand marketing plan.

 

2. Event Marketing coordination; creating all event marketing promotional materials 

 

Expectations:
  • Attend all weekly events planning meetings.
  • Recap marketing deliverables via email within 24 hours of conclusion of meeting.
  • Design all event marketing collateral needed for Phase 1 and Phase 2 of event promotion (banners, post cards, posters for print) in alignment with SFBC brand guidelines and quality expectations.
  • Attend events and capture content as directed by Senior Marketing Manager.
  • Submit Facebook event info & assets for approval and launch.
3. Online community management; managing all social media comments, messages, customer service emails, and online business listings, and managing the taproom social media feeds
 
Expectations:
  • Respond to comments on new posts immediately – not later than an hour.
  • Respond to DMs/questions in regards to immediate taproom service – within an hour.
  • Respond to event questions within 3-6 hours.
  • Respond to customer service emails within 6-12 hours.
4. Assist with content development

 

Expectations:
  • Present 1-2 pieces of content per week that meet the quality standards of the main pages.
  • Post and re-post 3-5 stories per business day.
  • Create all content for the SFBC Taprooms/Events page (3 posts per week, presented for approval at each weekly status meeting (on-going agenda, do not post without approval).
    • Photos of products need to be at taprooms
    • Highlight the spaces of the taprooms
    • High quality photos via iPhone
    • Post event flyers

Qualifications:

  • Excellent people & communication skills; online and in person; verbal and written
  • Ability to perform quality work efficiently with minimal supervision
  • College education with a focus in Marketing and/or Communication (can still be enrolled)
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop and/or Illustrator, Adobe Premiere
  • Experience with photography and/or videography
  • Storytelling via various forms of media
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Friendly, open to change, and willingness to learn and grow
  • 21 years of age or older
