Marketing Manager

The Santa Fe Brewing Company is looking for a key player to join our organization. We are New Mexico’s oldest and largest brewery, with production around 24,000 bbls/year and growing. We have a team-based family atmosphere, with opportunities to wear many hats and apply a multitude of skills. As well, we are at a crucial and very exciting time in our history, as we have just completed a large packaging hall expansion, are working on our brewhouse expansion for next year, and are about to break ground on a new tasting room.

We are looking for a creative, big-picture thinker, who can engage with craft beer drinkers across all of today’s relevant platforms and do it in ways that are both authentic and aligned with the personality of New Mexico’s Original Craft Brewery.

We want someone with a high-level understanding of brand marketing, CPG retail marketing, social media content development and marketing strategy, and ideally first hand, working knowledge of the craft beer industry.  If you’ve not worked in craft beer directly, you’ll need to know the landscape well and have a passion for beer.

The SFBC Marketing Manager must possess excellent interpersonal skills, as they will have to work productively with a variety of people inside and outside of the organization to be successful in their role.

The Marketing Manager’s primary function will be to create and manage the annual communication plan.  The communication plan is comprised of a traditional media plan and key brand initiatives that require the creation and communication of deliverables to internal and external customers (employees and distributors).  The process of creating the communication plan will be driven by the annual brand and retail priority calendars and ultimately result in an annual calendar outlining all deliverable in-process dates and firm due dates, to ensure all brand initiatives are executed in a timely and impactful manner.  Deliverables will include: graphics for social media event posts and ads, print and online ads, posters and sell sheets for new brand launches, live remote copy, etc.  The communication plan will be a working document, updated and revised as the year progresses.

Additionally, while not an absolute requirement, the ideal candidate will possess the graphic design skills necessary to design basic layouts required for event marketing on social media and in our taprooms.
